I bought a pair of Crescent Moon's race shoes, the Gold 12, and while new to the sport, i found myself near the front of the pack in the races i entered - and i suspect its partly because these are just plain GREAT snowshoes. i talked to a number of the other competitors about their shoes and after using the Gold 12s and seeing how they fit, feel, and perform compared to the other snowshoes on the market, i am completely sold on these being the best - VERY HAPPY with my choice of Crescent Moon. The bindings are particularly impressive and again, i had a lot of other brands to look at while i was racing and my shoes were faster and easier to get into and very responsive to every kind of terrain that i ran on.

I ran in these on an unplowed bike path this winter, and loved it! I have a whole new take on winter now - I see it as a great opportunity to get outdoors and have fun running in cool places that I couldn't get to without snowshoes, rather than as an inconvenience that results in clogged roads and mounds of snow littered with trash.

Never snow shoed in my life but these where so great, it felt like I was just walking. Used it on flat and hill elevation!
