Husband and I exchanged snowshoes this past Christmas and we both got the Lightening Ascent model. We'd only snowshoed once before and we had trouble with the bindings staying on. I also kept tripping over my feet. Our first two trips with our new shoes have been great--very comfortable and easy to get the snowshoes on and start exploring away. These really aren't in the price range for a novice snowshoer, but I'm glad we spent the extra money on these. Especially if we're in for another snow MN winter.
