I probably should have ordered the 25" being at the upper range of weight range...I've put on 20 lbs in the last couple years and still think I'm going to lose some of that( and darn it! I'm going to!).

That being said, though, I am please so far with these snow shoes. They are easy to get in and out of and once fastened they don't seem to slip. They've held onto the boots very well, even when I thought my foot was going to slide right out of the boots, snow shoe and all, and required no adjusting.

The cramp-ons do very well in all terrain. From gentle ascents and descents to steeper climbing and descending. I'd probably have slightly better flotation in a 25" (although I thing 23" would be ideal), but these are OK. I sink some(as is to be expected even optimally) in light powder, but don't drag down, and lift is not difficult. I feel like the foot rotation is bit too much though. It could be just a little less, they swivel 90 deg or better---I'm not sure how that's 'not overextending' your foot.

I would definitely recommend these for anyone who is going to venture off the trail some, but not take it to extremes.

I live in Arizona and won't have a chance to even take them out of the box until January 2013. Sure hope they're everything they should be. They are pretty !
