I got these as a gift and I was amazed at how great they were. Wow, I was so sure footed on snow and ice and had no fear of falling. But after using them a couple of times, I noticed one on the screw type cleats had fallen off somewhere. I tried to fix with screws and washers but could not. They still gripped OK with missing cleats but it was not long after (a few weeks of daily use) that I noticed that five cleats were missing. Still an ingenious product but, because the rubber stretches when you walk, the spikes will pop out and get lost. I'll probably buy a new pair before next winter or a different brand.

My husband and I get up every morning and walk before our day starts in order to maintain our fitness goals. When the snow and ice arrived, we tried to continue walking, and couldn't because of fears of slipping and falling. I bought these ice cleats for both my husband and myself, and after putting these on our jogging shoes, we were able to resume walking without any slipping or sliding. I'm so glad I got these. They work well with most any shoes, so the ability to turn any shoe into a slip proof shoes is great!

I live in rural Vermont and walk my dogs daily on the trails behind my house. It can get VERY icy and sometimes the ice is either wet or covered by a thin layer of snow. I have tried many types of ice cleats and keep coming back to these. They are easy to get on a shoe and don't come off easily. The cleats are well placed for maximum traction. Yes, a cleat does come off now and then, especially as the rubber becomes worn, but there are enough cleats to provide traction even if one or two are missing. I have purchased several pairs of these over the past few years so have a few spare cleats and replace them as necessary. One thing I would advise is to buy the proper size...perhaps a size bigger than you might think. After all, they do go over a large (usually hiking type) boot and a larger size will go on easier and allow for less stretch on the rubber. I think you get the most bang for your buck with this product and hope they keep making it for many years to come.
